GOLD FINISHED THE YEAR WITH GAIN AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Last week of the year gold surprised and met with buyers. After Christmas holiday, markets virtually embraced gold and yellow metal climbed till 1892.90 usd/oz as the highest level and the closing level at the same time. After Borsa session closed, gold rose over shoulders of international market players and reached 1927 usd/oz. Transaction volume was quite good with over 17 MT at Borsa Istanbul.

Despite gold’s cheer, silver’s performance was not very good as gold. Silver closed the year with 26 usd/oz at Borsa and last week transaction volume was almost 9 MT.

The first transaction day of 2021 is going on at Borsa with mostly TRY transactions. There are also sellers with small premium.
