PRECIOUS METALS COULD NOT RECOVER AT BORSA ISTANBUL

On the agenda were 10-year US bonds and the rising dollar index. Precious metals already affected by the Fed's announcements. These developments also caused the precious metals are caught sales wave. As a result of these, losses were experienced on Borsa İstanbul side.

Gold started to rise after the middle of the week. Despite this, the rise was not seen at Borsa Istanbul. Yellow metal recorded its highest level at 1759 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The closing was 1740 usd/oz level. This means that gold has lost 0,43% of its value. However, gold trading volume remained as low as 3.5 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, gold tried to recover and reached until 1760 usd/oz level at international markets.

Silver's move was not much different from gold. Silver reached the level of 22,40 usd/oz but could not hold on this level and fell to 21,95 usd/oz in Borsa Istanbul. Silver transaction volume was 10 MT at Borsa Istanbul. This trading volume was the same as the previous week. Outside of Borsa Istanbul, white metal rose to 22,54 usd/oz level at international markets.
