GOLD MANAGED TO REMAINED OVER 1700 USD/OZ AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Gold started strong to last week at Borsa Istanbul and highest price was recorded as 1740 usd/oz, but news coming from US markets changed the direction of yellow metal. Vaccination gained ground and USD became stronger together with 10 years-bonds yields. Gold price was incurred by these instruments acceleration and dropped till 1670 usd/oz level. Together with response buying wave, Biden’s declaration about completing %90 of vaccination of adults shouldered the gold. Yellow metal could recovered itself and closed the Borsa session with 1716 usd/oz. Trading volume was quite law. Only around 5 MT gold changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. Silver side was more dynamic and metal reached to 25.26 usd/oz level. Silver trading recorded as 19.5 MT. 

Last week at Borsa Istanbul premium was close to flat level with spot international price and since today is easter markets will be quiet.
