INVESTORS HAD A PROFITABLE WEEK AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Precious metals started the week with a calm opening in the week of the Easter holiday. The decline in the dollar index and bond yields supported precious metals. Borsa Istanbul had a profitable week.

Gold investors had a lucrative week at Borsa Istanbul. Gold reached its highest level at 1760 usd/oz level. Gold completed the week at 1730 usd/oz level. Compared to last week, yellow metal gained 0,84% value at Borsa Istanbul. Gold transaction volume was higher than last week but it was still quite low as 7 MT at Borsa. After Borsa session closed, interest in gold increased and gold price came to 1743 usd/oz level at international markets.

Silver had a more volatile week than gold. Despite this, silver earned its investors in Borsa Istanbul. Silver moved around 24,97 usd/oz and the closing was 25,10 usd/oz level. White metal gained 0,8% value at Borsa Istanbul. Totally 25 MT silver changed hands at Borsa. It was pretty high compared to last week.

On Monday morning session, we see that sellers premium level is tight but some of investors insisting for at least 3 usd/oz. Despite this there are buyers with discount but sellers’ side is stronger.
