BEARS AFFECTED PRECIOUS METALS AT BORSA ISTANBUL
SEP 06 – SEP 13 / 2021 https://www.goldtakas.com/en

Precious metals started the week with a rise, but could not continue until the end of the week. The upward momentum in the US 10-year yield led to precious metal sales. In addition, the European Central Bank did not make any changes in its interest rate decision, as expected. These developments negatively affected precious metals.

Gold reached until 1825 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. Despite this, yellow metal completed the week at 1795 usd/oz level. Affected by the developments, gold lost approximately 1.5% compared to the previous week. Gold trading volume was very low at 5 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, yellow metal did not survive the selling wave and fell 1787 usd/oz level at international markets.

Silver recorded its highest level at 24,95 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The closing was 24,25 usd/oz level. This means that silver has lost 0.7% of its value. Although the loss was small compared to gold, it was adequately affected by the sale. Totally 17 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. It was a pretty good trading volume. On the other hand, the white metal closed at 23,79 usd/oz at international markets.
