TRANSACTION VOLUMES INCREASED AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Last week, precious metals followed developments in US 10-year bond yields. Precious metals rose despite a bullish trend in US 10-year bond yields. Transaction volumes also increased at Borsa Istanbul.

Gold rose above 1800 usd/oz level after 6 weeks at Borsa Istanbul. Yellow metal recorded its highest level at 1810 usd/oz level. The closing was 1804,10 usd/oz level. This means that gold has gained 1,85% of its value. It was a pretty good gain for gold investors. Gold traded volume also remained high as 6 MT at Borsa Istanbul. After Borsa session closed, yellow metal fell to the level of 1792,45 usd/oz in the international markets following the selling wave.

Silver investors continued to gain at Borsa Istanbul. White metal reached as high as 24.40 usd/oz level and completed the week almost the same level. Compared to last week, silver gained 6,04% value. Totally 18 MT silver changed hands at Borsa Istanbul.
