TRANSACTION VOLUME INCREASED AT BORSA ISTANBUL

The agenda has been the mutated virus since last week. This news made the markets alarmed. The US stimulus package was also on the agenda as it has been for a long time. On Friday, international markets closed for Christmas. Despite this, the precious metal’s transaction volume was quite good at Borsa Istanbul.

Prices fluctuated at Borsa Istanbul last week. Gold started to week with over 1900 usd/oz but with mutated virus news, gold saw sharp selling till 1862 usd/oz. On midweek gold has to record it is lowest level as 1843 usd/oz and rest of the week tried to recover. Compared to last week, there was a very narrow price band with 59,40 usd/oz level. Gold completed the week at 1862 usd/oz level. That means gold lost 0,8% value. Totally 17 MT gold changed hands at Borsa Istanbul. Gold price reached to 1879,39 usd/oz level at international markets.

Silver recorded its highest level at 26,50 usd/oz level at Borsa Istanbul. The closing was at 25,65 usd/oz level. Silver lost 0,2% value. Totally 11 MT silver was traded at Borsa Istanbul.
