LAST WEEK PASSED VOLATILE AT BORSA ISTANBUL

Markets followed the FED president’s speech last week. The president’s optimistic speech and dollar's raise repressed precious metals. In Turkey, there has been a change in the management of the Central Bank. In this way, Borsa Istanbul had a volatile week.

It was a week of loss that gold lived at Borsa Istanbul. Gold recorded its highest level at 1747 usd/oz level. Despite this level, yellow metal couldn’t escape the sales wave and completed the week with 1729 usd/oz level. Compared to last week, gold lost 0,7% value. Gold transaction volume was quite low as 6 MT at Borsa. 

At silver side last week mostly it had been priced with Turkish lira but for usd transactions, average pricing was like 24 usd/oz. Silver’s demand was very high as almost 33 MT at Borsa Istanbul. 

On Monday Morning session, margins seems tigtened at Borsa Istanbul and it is around 1 usd/oz.
